Oxnard, CA (September 18, 2025) – A 43-year-old motorcyclist is recovering from life-threatening injuries following a serious collision with an SUV Tuesday afternoon in Oxnard, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. on September 16 at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Nautilus Street. Emergency responders from Oxnard Fire and Rescue, along with paramedics, were dispatched after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard when a northbound Mercedes SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Nautilus Street. The SUV entered the rider’s path, resulting in a violent collision that threw the motorcyclist from his bike.
The injured rider, identified as a 43-year-old Oxnard resident, sustained critical injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center. Officials described his condition as serious and confirmed that he remains under medical care.
The 73-year-old man driving the Mercedes SUV was uninjured in the collision and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. Police have not released any information indicating that impairment or distraction played a role, but the collision remains under active investigation.
