Palmdale, CA (September 24, 2025) – A devastating multi-vehicle collision in Palmdale claimed the life of a Lancaster woman Friday evening and left several others injured. The fatal crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. near Avenue N and 22nd St W, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders from Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the chaotic crash scene, where they found four damaged vehicles and multiple victims. First responders worked urgently to assist those injured, transporting three individuals to Antelope Valley Medical Center with injuries ranging from moderate to severe.
Tragically, 31-year-old Chelsea Jewkes of Lancaster was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed her identity through the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
CHP reported that the crash began when 25-year-old K. Littiz, driving a 2008 Mercedes westbound on Avenue N, attempted to pass another vehicle by using the north shoulder of the road. Littiz lost control, striking a 2021 Lexus IS and then colliding head-on with a 2022 Honda HR-V. Debris from the wreck also hit a nearby 2019 Honda Accord.
Following the crash, Littiz and his passenger, 22-year-old K. Wright, fled the scene on foot. Both individuals were later located and taken into custody. Officials have not released information on pending charges.
Investigators are continuing to review evidence and speak with witnesses to determine all contributing factors in the collision. Avenue N remained closed for several hours as crews cleared the wreckage and collected data from the scene.
