Perry County, IL (September 8, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision claimed the lives of two individuals early Saturday morning along Illinois Route 127 near Galum Church Rd, just south of Pinckneyville.
Illinois State Police (ISP) reported that the fatal crash occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. on September 6. Two vehicles collided directly while traveling in opposite directions, resulting in the deaths of both drivers at the scene. Officials confirmed that neither vehicle had any passengers at the time of the incident.
