Pettis Co, MO (September 11, 2025) – A serious vehicle collision occurred on US-50 at Pleasant Green Rd in Pettis County early Wednesday morning. The crash, reported at 7:33 AM, involved two vehicles, a 2023 Toyota Highlander and a 2007 Nissan Xterra, and resulted in injuries to the drivers of both vehicles.
According to the investigation, the 2023 Toyota Highlander was traveling southbound when it pulled into the path of the 2007 Nissan Xterra, which was traveling westbound. The Nissan struck the left side of the Toyota, causing the Nissan to overturn. The driver of the Nissan, a 46-year-old female from Sunrise Beach, MO, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Hospital by Pettis County Ambulance District (PCAD).
The driver of the Toyota, an 86-year-old male from La Monte, MO, sustained serious injuries and was transported by MU Air Ambulance to MU Medical Center for further treatment.
Both vehicles were towed by Don’s Truck Towing. The crash is under investigation, and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the response.
