Philadelphia, PA (September 15, 2025) – A deadly hit-and-run crash occurred early Sunday morning near Whitaker Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia, leaving one person dead and at least one other injured.
According to reports from SEPTA Transit Police, the fatal incident happened in the 5500 block of Whitaker Ave. Officers responded to the scene around 8:41 a.m. and found multiple victims, including a young girl, near the site of the collision. One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. Paramedics also evaluated at least one other person for injuries; their current condition has not been disclosed.
