Philadelphia, PA (February 8, 2025) – A tragic accident early Friday morning in the Olney section of Philadelphia left one man dead after he was struck by a vehicle on Roosevelt Boulevard.
According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of C Street and Roosevelt Boulevard. Reports indicate that a 61-year-old man was struck by a Range Rover as he stepped off the median.
Following the impact, the driver of the Range Rover lost control and crashed into parked vehicles. Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 42-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Officials do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
