Philadelphia, PA (January 16, 2026) – A serious multi-vehicle accident on Lincoln Drive near Kelly Drive on Thursday evening left at least two individuals injured, including one person who was reportedly ejected and another trapped inside a vehicle.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Lincoln Drive just past Gypsy Lane, prompting a large emergency response. Medic units 18, 2, and 10B, along with Ladder 25 and Squad 72, were dispatched to the scene. Due to the severity of the incident, crews quickly blocked off a section of Lincoln Drive heading toward City Avenue to allow for clear emergency access.
Initial reports confirmed one person had been ejected from a vehicle and another remained trapped, prompting immediate rescue efforts. Firefighters worked under difficult conditions, with officials requesting police support to manage several vehicles obstructing the area and posing safety risks to first responders.
Emergency crews were actively treating and extricating victims while coordinating with dispatch to maintain access to the crash site. The total number of vehicles involved and the current condition of the victims have not yet been publicly released.
