Pima County, AZ (January 17, 2026) – A male bicyclist sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle on January 16 near the intersection of North Cherry Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard in Tucson.
The collision occurred around 3:36 p.m. and involved a white Chevrolet Malibu, whose driver remained at the scene and contacted authorities. According to dispatch communications, the cyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but was found on the ground and experiencing difficulty breathing.
Tucson Fire Department units responded to the scene to provide emergency care. The full extent of the cyclist’s injuries has not been released, but the response level and breathing difficulties suggest the possibility of Class 2 injuries.
