Pittsburg, CA (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were dispatched Friday evening to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 4 that left one person injured near the Harbor Street exit.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m. on January 30. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles were involved, though the specific circumstances that led to the crash have not yet been determined. The impact of the collision caused delays in the westbound lanes of Highway 4 during the evening commute.
First responders, including paramedics, provided immediate care to one injured individual at the scene. That person was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The nature and extent of the injuries sustained have not been disclosed.
