Plano, TX (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a severe traffic crash with injuries near Gateway Church along the E President George Bush Highway in Plano. The incident was reported around 6:15 p.m. and involved a 30-year-old female driver who sustained significant trauma.
According to dispatch reports, an object or structural element collapsed onto the roof of the woman’s vehicle, leaving her unconscious and actively bleeding inside the car. Plano Fire-Rescue and EMS units were dispatched immediately and arrived to render aid at the scene.
First responders worked to extricate the injured woman and stabilize her condition before transporting her to a nearby hospital. Her current condition remains unknown, but initial reports described the injuries as serious.
The incident caused major delays along George Bush Hwy as emergency units operated in the area. Authorities have launched an investigation into what caused the collapse and whether external factors contributed to the crash.
