Platte, MO (August 10, 2025) – Emergency responders were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims after a two-vehicle collision on I-29 near the 3-mile marker late on Friday morning. The crash occurred at approximately 11:10 a.m. in Platte County and involved a northbound 2018 Chevrolet Malibu and a northbound 2006 Mercedes S440. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were able to be driven from the scene.
Authorities reported that the collision took place when the Chevrolet Malibu attempted to change lanes and struck the Mercedes. The Mercedes was occupied by four individuals, including the driver, all of whom sustained a variety of injuries. Victims were transported to North Kansas City Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The driver of the Malibu was not reported to have been injured.
First responders from Platte City Fire and Rescue worked to assess the injured parties and ensure the safety of the crash scene. Traffic was temporarily impacted as emergency crews provided aid and began clearing the roadway.
