Plattsburgh, NY (September 22, 2025) – A tragic collision in downtown Plattsburgh claimed the life of a 21-year-old motorcyclist Friday evening. The fatal crash occurred around 8:20 p.m., when a 2006 Honda motorcycle collided with the side of a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado at an intersection in the city’s downtown core.
The Plattsburgh Police Department identified the motorcyclist as Ronnie Gamble III. According to officials, Gamble was traveling westbound at an undetermined speed when his motorcycle struck the passenger side of the northbound pickup truck. Emergency medical personnel transported Gamble to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH), where he was later pronounced dead after life-saving efforts were unsuccessful.
The driver of the Silverado remained at the scene, cooperated with law enforcement, and did not report any injuries. No charges have been filed at this time.
