Port Arthur, TX (January 17, 2026) – A fatal collision claimed the life of one individual Friday afternoon in Port Arthur, prompting a full closure of westbound lanes along a busy stretch of highway. The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on January 16 in the 2300 block of West Texas Highway 73, just west of Jade Avenue and near Pat Avenue, according to Police Chief Tim Duriso.
