Redwood City, CA (September 24, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian collision claimed the life of a 32-year-old woman early Monday morning in Redwood City, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
At approximately 12:11 a.m. on September 22, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Woodside Rd and Veterans Blvd following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. Preliminary investigations revealed that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Woodside Rd when it struck a woman who was attempting to cross the street.
When officers arrived, they found the woman unconscious on the roadway and immediately began CPR. Emergency medical personnel quickly joined in the resuscitation efforts and transported the woman to Stanford Hospital. Despite lifesaving measures, she was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
Authorities have not released her name pending notification of next of kin but confirmed she was a 32-year-old adult female. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police determined that impairment was not a factor in the collision.
The Redwood City Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and is urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
