Richmond, VA (September 10, 2025) – Emergency responders from Richmond Fire and Rescue were dispatched late Tuesday morning to a crash on Interstate 64 eastbound near exit 185B, close to Staples Mill Rd. The incident resulted in a woman sustaining a visible arm injury.
The crash was first reported at approximately 11:26 a.m., prompting a swift response from fire and EMS crews. Upon arrival, first responders located a female victim suffering from a cut to her arm. Paramedics provided on-site medical care, and state police were also present, assisting with the scene and managing traffic through the affected area.
While the exact cause of the crash has not yet been disclosed, authorities confirmed that only one injured party was identified at the time. The severity of the woman’s injury and whether transport to a medical facility was required remains under investigation.
The accident led to brief slowdowns on I-64 eastbound as emergency vehicles operated near the exit and officials worked to clear the roadway. No additional injuries were reported.
