Riverside, CA (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched Friday evening to a multi-vehicle collision resulting in injuries on Van Buren Blvd near the westbound side of Highway 91. The crash occurred around 6:06 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles that sustained minor to moderate damage across opposite lanes of traffic.
Riverside Fire Department and AMR paramedics arrived on scene and assessed individuals for injuries. At least one person was treated for minor injuries, though the exact number of those hurt has not yet been confirmed. Emergency responders noted one vehicle in the northbound lanes without working lights, creating a traffic hazard and prompting a police request for scene safety.
The collision resulted in some lane disruption as crews worked to manage the scene and ensure safe passage for other drivers. Investigators are continuing to review what caused the incident.
