Riverside County, CA (August 18, 2025) – Two motorcyclists were injured Saturday morning in a head-on collision on State Route 74, just west of the Orange-Riverside County line. The crash, reported around 11:11 a.m., left both riders down in the middle of the roadway and temporarily blocked multiple lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Initial dispatch logs indicate that the two motorcycles collided approximately one mile west of County Line (Coline), not far from the narrow bridge section of the Ortega Highway. Emergency crews from Orange County Fire Authority and Station 91 responded promptly. Both riders were found conscious but injured on the ground.
Due to the severity of the incident and location in the winding mountainous section of SR-74, traffic control and lane closures were implemented. Tow services from SK Tow were requested to handle the recovery of both motorcycles. One or both injured parties were transported to Mission Hospital for further treatment.
CHP confirmed that all lanes were reopened by early afternoon, but the crash remains under investigation.
