Sacramento, CA (January 17, 2026) – A motorcyclist suffered significant injuries following a collision in downtown Sacramento. The crash was reported around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of D St and 17th St, where a motorcycle reportedly rear-ended another vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided immediate assistance to the injured rider. According to dispatch reports, the motorcyclist sustained injuries believed to include broken bones in both a hand and a foot. The rider remained conscious and alert as medical personnel assessed the extent of the trauma.
The collision involved a black motorcycle and a black Honda HR-V, both of which were stopped near the scene when authorities arrived. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and officials have not confirmed if any citations or charges will be issued.
