Sacramento, CA (January 17, 2026) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Marconi Ave and Connie Dr, prompting a large-scale emergency response from Sacramento authorities.
The incident occurred around 3:08 PM PST when a man in his late fifties was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area. According to dispatch audio, the pedestrian was found bleeding heavily from the ear but remained conscious, alert, and breathing at the scene. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment for his injuries and continued to monitor his condition.
The vehicle involved, believed to be a white 2010 Honda Accord, reportedly fled the scene and was last seen heading northbound on Connie Dr. Authorities have not released further identifying information about the suspect driver, and the case is being investigated as a felony hit-and-run.
While still on scene, the injured pedestrian reportedly made concerning statements involving requests for a firearm and a baseball bat, though responding officers confirmed that no weapon was seen and the area was secured without further incident.
