Sampson County, NC (January 7, 2025) – A devastating head-on collision on N.C. Highway 55 near Oak Grove Church Rd early Tuesday morning claimed the lives of two adults and left two others, including a 3-year-old child, injured. The crash occurred around 7:04 AM, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers reported that a Honda Accord traveling east crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound Kia Sorento in the westbound lane. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was identified as 30-year-old Eric Scott Little, and the driver of the Kia was identified as 31-year-old Lauren Brittany Knuckles.
A woman passenger in the Honda was transported to WakeMed with serious injuries. Additionally, a 3-year-old child in the Kia was airlifted to WakeMed for treatment. The condition of both injured individuals is currently unknown as the investigation into the crash continues.
