San Benito County, CA (September 15, 2025) – A head-on collision involving two silver sedans occurred Monday morning on State Route 156 at Searle Rd, resulting in possible injuries to both parties and a partial roadway blockage, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at approximately 6:42 a.m. and was immediately categorized as a “1141 – Ambulance En Route” incident. Initial details confirm a head-on collision between two similarly colored vehicles, with both cars coming to rest on or near the roadway, creating a traffic hazard (CHP code 1125).
Dispatch audio and CHP logs noted that there were possibly two individuals injured as a result of the impact. Emergency medical units were dispatched, and the extent of injuries is still under review. Responders remained on scene to stabilize the injured, manage traffic, and begin clearing debris from the roadway.
State Route 156, a critical connector between Hollister and the US-101 corridor, experienced delays as traffic was temporarily slowed through the area of Searle Rd. No further information has been released regarding the cause of the crash, and authorities are actively investigating.
