San Diego, CA (September 2, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving a suspected impaired driver occurred late Monday night on the southbound I-15 near the Mira Mesa Blvd offramp, leaving at least one person injured and blocking multiple lanes of traffic. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene just before 11:00 p.m.
According to CHP incident logs, a white Mazda CX-7 SUV collided with a roadside wall and came to rest perpendicular across the #3 lane, with at least one occupant still inside the vehicle. The crash prompted multiple 911 calls reporting a disabled vehicle with no lights obstructing traffic, raising immediate safety concerns for other motorists.
