San Jacinto, CA (January 4, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle on State St, just south of Ramona Blvd, on Thursday evening. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred at approximately 6:12 p.m.
According to preliminary investigations, the pedestrian was standing at the side of the road when they fell into the roadway and were hit by a passing car. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but the male victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified the victim or determined the cause of his fall into the street.
Investigators are examining whether alcohol and/or drugs may have contributed to the crash, as indicated by evidence gathered at the scene. The driver involved remained at the location and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.
