San Juan Capistrano, CA (September 23, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident on the southbound 5 Freeway near Ortega Hwy left at least one person injured Monday morning. The collision was reported around 8:09 a.m., prompting a response from the California Highway Patrol and emergency medical services.
Authorities stated that the crash involved three vehicles, including a Ford Bronco, a Mercedes, and a third unidentified vehicle. The exact circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation.
First responders arrived on scene and treated at least one individual for injuries. The condition and identity of the injured party have not been released at this time. Additional medical transports may have occurred, but details are still pending.
