Savannah, GA (January 17, 2026) – A motor vehicle collision with reported injuries took place near the intersection of Jimmy DeLoach Parkway and Benton Boulevard in Savannah. Engine 14 and additional emergency units were dispatched to the scene shortly after 4:30 p.m. to assess the situation and assist those involved.
Upon arrival, firefighters and multiple police units found a vehicle occupant who initially appeared to have sustained injuries. However, after evaluation, the individual declined further medical attention from both EMS and fire personnel. Emergency crews remained on-site for a short time to ensure the scene was safe and to assist with traffic control.
While the individual involved refused transport or additional evaluation, the event serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking medical care after any collision, even when injuries may seem minor.
