Savannah, GA (January 17, 2026) – Fire and emergency crews responded to a crash with reported injuries near the intersection of East President Street and Eastern Wharf Avenue in Savannah.
The incident was reported around 3:23 p.m., prompting a response from Engine 9 and Engine 5. According to dispatch audio, the vehicle involved was described as a silver car, possibly a Buick, located near the train tracks in the area. Upon arrival, crews established “President Street Command” and began searching the scene for victims and hazards.
The intersection, which sits near the Eastern Wharf development and close to active rail lines, presented visibility and access challenges for first responders. Emergency personnel confirmed they were investigating the area, and medical aid was being prepared for any injured parties.
At this time, officials have not released information regarding the number or severity of injuries sustained in the crash. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
