Shreveport, LA (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision involving injuries Friday afternoon at the intersection of E 70th St and University Dr in Shreveport’s Springlake–University Terrace neighborhood.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:38 p.m. on January 16. First responders, including local fire and EMS units, arrived on the scene to assist individuals who sustained injuries in the multi-vehicle collision. The severity of the injuries and the number of people transported for treatment have not yet been confirmed.
Traffic in the area was temporarily impacted as emergency personnel provided aid and worked to clear the intersection. The crash occurred during the afternoon commute, which may have contributed to congestion in this busy section of the city.
Shreveport Police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Officials have not released any additional information at this time.
