The crash occurred around 12:32 p.m. on January 16. Responding EMS crews evaluated an 88-year-old male at the scene who reported minor back pain on his right side. Medics confirmed the man’s vital signs were stable at the time of assessment, with a blood pressure of 160/76, a heart rate of 62 beats per minute, and normal oxygen levels.
The patient was conscious and breathing at a rate of approximately 20 breaths per minute. He also shared with responders that he has a medical history that includes diabetes and a prior heart attack suffered in November. Paramedics monitored his heart rhythm en route to the hospital for further evaluation and care.
The collision took place along Greenwood Rd, a key route in western Shreveport, and involved three vehicles. Details regarding the circumstances of the crash and the conditions of others involved have not yet been released.
