Sioux Falls, SD (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched just before 4:45 p.m. Friday afternoon to a serious vehicle collision at the intersection of E 18th St and S Foss Ave in Sioux Falls. The crash was reported to involve injuries and required extrication efforts by fire personnel.
Upon arrival, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and EMS teams found at least one person trapped inside a vehicle. Crews worked quickly to safely extricate the individual while paramedics provided immediate medical attention. The victim was stabilized and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The full extent of injuries has not yet been released.
The crash resulted in temporary road closures and traffic delays in the residential area as emergency crews operated on scene. At least two vehicles were believed to be involved in the incident, but specific details regarding how the crash occurred have not yet been confirmed.
