Head-On Collisions in Washington
Head-on crashes, like the one on State Route 9, are among the most dangerous types of accidents due to the high force of impact. These collisions frequently occur due to impaired driving, distracted driving, speeding, or failure to maintain lane control. Rural highways, such as SR-9, are especially prone to these types of crashes due to limited visibility and higher speed limits.
Washington law requires all drivers to stay alert, remain in their designated lanes, and avoid dangerous maneuvers that could lead to a head-on collision. Unfortunately, when one driver fails to follow these safety measures, the results can be devastating. Victims of these crashes often face severe injuries, long recovery periods, and significant medical expenses.
