St. George, UT (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of West Sunset Boulevard and North Bluff Street in St. George on January 16. The crash, which occurred in the northbound left lane, involved a black Hyundai Elantra and a beige Buick LaCrosse and led to at least one person sustaining injuries.
Units from Engine 27 and Medic 604 were dispatched to the scene, where responders found a young adult complaining of back pain but breathing normally. Medical personnel provided on-site care while crews coordinated traffic control and established a command post, known as Bluff Street Command, to manage the scene.
The collision temporarily blocked the left lane of northbound traffic, requiring units to carefully direct vehicles around the site as emergency personnel worked. No fluids were reported on the roadway, and both vehicles remained in place while responders evaluated the situation.
