St. Louis, MO (January 30, 2026) – A rear-end accident involving two vehicles on southbound Interstate 170 near Scudder Rd sent one man to the hospital on Thursday afternoon in St. Louis County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. when a 2003 Honda Odyssey collided with the rear of a 2025 Acura MDX. Both vehicles were traveling southbound at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Honda, a 68-year-old man from Berkeley, was wearing a seatbelt but still suffered moderate injuries. Emergency medical personnel from Berkeley Fire EMS responded to the scene and transported him to Mercy Hospital Creve Coeur for treatment. The driver of the Acura, a 44-year-old woman from St. Louis, was reportedly uninjured.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed from the roadway by McNamara’s Towing. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing and was supported by FTO CPL. C. R. Knox.
