Temple, TX (January 6, 2025) – A fatal three-vehicle collision occurred Saturday afternoon on the 19200 block of SE HK Dodgen Loop, claiming one life and injuring multiple individuals. Temple Police responded to the scene around 12:55 PM to investigate the crash.
According to authorities, the accident began when a vehicle merging onto the SE Loop entered oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. This initial impact caused a third vehicle to strike the rear of the second vehicle.
One individual, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. Two occupants of the second vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the third vehicle sustained minor injuries treated at the scene.
The roadway was closed for several hours for investigation and cleanup before being reopened around 5:50 PM. The Temple Police Department Traffic Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the circumstances of this tragic accident. No further details have been released at this time.
