Toledo, OH (January 16, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision with injuries Wednesday afternoon near Sherbrooke Rd and Verdun Dr in Toledo. The crash, reported around 1:17 p.m., involved at least two vehicles and temporarily blocked traffic in the area.
According to dispatch details, the vehicles included a gray and a blue Hyundai. Toledo Fire units arrived quickly on scene and began assisting the individuals involved. At least one person sustained injuries and received medical attention on-site. The severity of those injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Due to the position of the vehicles, traffic flow was disrupted while responders worked to treat the injured and remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with authorities reviewing whether driver error, speed, or traffic conditions may have played a role.
