Ukiah, CA (August 5, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused delays and left at least one person with injuries Monday afternoon on Highway 20, just south of Potter Valley near the Vista Del Lago area. The collision occurred around 12:00 p.m. on August 4, 2025, and led to blocked lanes in both directions, according to dispatch information and local reports.
One of the vehicles came to rest in the westbound lane while the other was stopped on the shoulder with visible damage and deployed airbags. Emergency responders from CAL FIRE were notified shortly after the crash and arrived to assist with scene safety and medical evaluation.
Although the driver of the damaged vehicle initially declined transport, medics assessed him for minor injuries. Debris and disabled vehicles partially blocked traffic in both directions, creating brief backups along the rural stretch of Hwy 20.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to manage traffic and coordinate cleanup efforts. As of this report, no major structural damage or severe injuries have been confirmed. The roadway was eventually cleared following tow truck removal and hazard abatement.
