Virginia Beach, VA (September 18, 2025) – Emergency crews responded swiftly Thursday morning to a serious multi-vehicle collision that resulted in a variety of injuries and significant traffic delays on I-264 near Independence Blvd.
First responders from Virginia Beach Fire and Rescue, including paramedics and emergency medical services, arrived shortly after 8 a.m. to render aid to individuals hurt in the crash. Early reports confirm that multiple vehicles were involved, and medics assessed and treated victims on the scene for a range of injuries.
The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-264, leading to the closure of both the left and right shoulders near the Independence Blvd interchange.
