Failure-to-Yield Crashes in Missouri
Intersections are a common site for severe collisions, especially when drivers fail to yield the right-of-way. Saturday night’s crash in Warren County highlights the risks of misjudging the speed or distance of approaching vehicles, which can lead to high-impact, front-end collisions.
Missouri traffic safety officials advise drivers to take extra caution at intersections, come to complete stops where required, and proceed only when the roadway is clear. Failing to yield is a leading cause of injury crashes statewide, and avoiding such incidents often comes down to patience and attentiveness.
