Wasco, CA (February 2, 2025) – A fatal traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred late Thursday night on State Route 43 near Cecil Ave, resulting in at least one confirmed fatality.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash was reported around 10:56 p.m. and involved a white Nissan Sentra and a white Tesla. Initial reports indicated that the Nissan caught fire following the collision, with parties still inside the vehicle. Emergency responders arrived quickly and temporarily shut down the northbound lanes to assist those involved.
Authorities confirmed that at least one person was transported to Kern Medical Center (KMC) for treatment, while another individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office was requested to respond, though further details regarding the deceased have not yet been released.
