Wichita, KS (January 16, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Thursday evening to a serious collision in the parking lot of Best Buy North, located near North Rock Road in Wichita. The incident, which occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m., involved two vehicles and resulted in at least one person being injured.
According to dispatch reports, the crash involved a white Chevrolet Camaro and a white Chevrolet Malibu. When first responders from Station 14 and Station 18 arrived at the scene, they found one male occupant of the Chevy Malibu unconscious. Crews immediately began administering patient care while assessing the scene for further hazards.
Although described as a two-vehicle minor accident in terms of visible damage, the presence of an unconscious individual prompted a high-priority medical response. Engine 18 remained on scene to continue care and assist with transport.
Police were also called to the scene to begin a formal investigation into what led to the crash. Authorities have not yet released additional details about the injured man’s condition or whether any citations will be issued in connection with the incident.
