Wichita, KS (January 17, 2026) – Authorities responded to a chaotic and unusual hit-and-run crash with injuries Friday evening near East Osie Street, involving multiple vehicles and a reportedly injured individual.
The incident was first reported around 7:07 p.m. on January 16. Emergency crews, including Engine 11 and Squad 11, were dispatched to the scene after reports indicated a maroon Toyota Camry had collided with several parked cars in a residential complex. Witnesses stated that the driver may have accidentally run herself over before being pulled from the vehicle and fleeing the scene westbound on Harry Street.
Responders were informed that the crash, including the driver’s actions and subsequent flight, was captured on surveillance footage. Additional details suggest the vehicle may have struck a pedestrian and another vehicle during the incident. However, no patients were located at the scene when emergency services arrived.
