Fatal Crashes in Sedgwick County
Multi-vehicle crashes such as the one at Central and Webb are among the most devastating types of roadway incidents, especially when they involve speed and alcohol as contributing factors. Wichita has experienced an increase in severe collisions in recent years, with intersections along Central Avenue and Webb Road often cited as high-risk due to heavy traffic volumes and complex cross-traffic patterns.
