Woodbridge, NJ (May 13, 2025) – Two men were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Monday night, May 12, that led to the shutdown of Route 9 northbound on the Driscoll Bridge between Sayreville and Woodbridge. The crash occurred around 8:33 PM and involved multiple motorcycles.
Woodbridge police responded to the scene and found several downed motorcycles and two injured riders on the bridge heading into Woodbridge Township. Both victims were quickly transported to a local hospital. One of the motorcyclists sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other suffered serious injuries. The victims were identified as a 57-year-old man from Roselle and a 25-year-old man from Iselin.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation, alongside emergency personnel, closed northbound traffic on Route 9 to facilitate the investigation, which remains ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the police at 732-634-7700, Ext. 2154.
