Yuba County, CA (September 22, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision near the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Forty Mile Rd resulted in major injuries early Saturday morning. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash around 2:07 a.m. on September 20.
The incident occurred in front of the casino property located at 3317 Forty Mile Rd. According to CHP logs, one of the vehicles veered into a ditch while the other remained in the southbound lane, partially blocking traffic. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and the incident was officially reclassified as a major injury collision (Code 1180) around 3:21 a.m.
Multiple tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, including units from Los Amigos Tow and Sanchez Tow. Additionally, a second ambulance was called by Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, indicating that more than one person may have required medical attention. However, details on the exact number of injured parties or the extent of their injuries have not been released.
Authorities have not confirmed the cause of the crash, but the layout of Forty Mile Rd—combined with early morning driving conditions—may be contributing factors. The CHP continues to investigate the incident.
