Virginia Beach, VA (July 7, 2026) – A man lost his life after a crash on Sandbridge Road during the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Virginia Beach.
According to available information, 58-year-old Wasif Shaikh was driving along Sandbridge Road when the crash occurred. Emergency units took Shaikh to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
The roadway was temporarily closed following the crash, causing delays for residents and visitors traveling to and from the Sandbridge community during the busy holiday weekend.
The cause of the crash and the number of vehicles involved have not yet been determined, and no additional details were immediately released.
