Philadelphia, PA (June 22, 2026) – One person died following a traffic accident involving an e-bike and a passenger car in Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek neighborhood.
According to preliminary information, the fatal collision happened at the intersection of 58th Street and Pine Street around 2:16 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. Investigators said a black 2015 Chrysler 300 was traveling east on Pine Street with a green light when it struck an e-bike that was heading north on 58th Street after entering the intersection against a red signal.
The e-bike rider, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:22 p.m. Police said he was not carrying identification and was being listed as a John Doe pending identification. The Chrysler driver, a 48-year-old woman, remained at the site following the crash.
Witnesses nearby reported seeing emergency units arrive shortly after the collision. Additional information about the deceased had not been released at the time of publication. The police are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
