Skamania County, WA (August 5, 2026) – On Monday, August 3, one person died following a head-on collision along State Route 14 near milepost 21, east of the State Route 148 turnoff, according to initial reports. Emergency units were dispatched to the highway after the two-vehicle crash was reported, and a medical helicopter was also requested.
An update later confirmed the wreck was fatal. One person was flown from the roadway by air ambulance for treatment, while the identity of the person who lost their life has not been released.
