San Pedro, CA (August 6, 2026) – A 53-year-old man was killed while riding a scooter early on Thursday morning, August 6, at the intersection of Colden Ave and San Pedro St in San Pedro.
Detectives said emergency units were called to the intersection around 5:20 a.m. after receiving reports of a person down in the street beside a scooter. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified him as Antonio Galvan-Solorio. The police said the person responsible left the area after striking Galvan-Solorio, and no information about the driver or vehicle was immediately available.
The fatal collision remains under investigation as a hit-and-run. Investigators are continuing to work to determine what happened and identify the driver involved.
