Oxon Hill, MD (September 3, 2026) – One person died, and another was hurt after a three-vehicle collision on Wednesday night, September 2, on Indian Head Highway near Palmer Rd.
The three vehicles were involved near the intersection at about 9:40 p.m. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in the same vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries initially described as not life-threatening. Emergency units later reported the passenger’s injuries as critical. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not hurt.
Northbound lanes of Indian Head Highway remained closed for several hours overnight while the wreck was being examined. Investigators were still working Thursday morning to determine what led to the accident.
