Cedar Rapids, IA (June 1, 2026) – One person was injured after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon at the intersection of Edgewood Road Southwest and 29th Avenue Southwest in Cedar Rapids.
According to officials, the collision was reported at about 3:15 p.m. on June 1. When emergency units arrived, they found that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. The person received medical attention at the roadway before being taken to a local hospital.
The police said the pedestrian was seriously hurt and faced potentially life-threatening injuries. The identities of those involved in the crash have not yet been released.
