Colton, CA (July 30, 2026) – One person was hurt in a hit-and-run along southbound I-215 just north of La Cadena Drive near Iowa on July 29.
According to dispatch information, the call came in at about 7:54 a.m. Initial reports indicated a blue Honda Civic was stopped in the center divider while a gray four-door vehicle, reportedly racing, left the area. The fleeing vehicle’s license plate was not available.
A short time later, the reporting party told dispatch they had struck their head and requested medical assistance. Dispatch records also noted that a blue Honda was stopped in the center divider while a white utility van or pickup truck had pulled onto the right shoulder. The circumstances leading up to the hit-and-run have not been released.
The cause of the hit-and-run remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
